Job Summary:
The Technician for Hino Butuan is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services on Hino trucks and other vehicles. This role ensures that all units are serviced according to manufacturer standards, delivering high-quality workmanship and supporting the overall efficiency of the service department. The ideal candidate has technical training, hands-on experience in truck maintenance, and a strong commitment to safety and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform preventive maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, and system inspections.
- Conduct mechanical and electrical diagnostics on Hino trucks and identify necessary repairs.
- Execute repair work including engine, brake, suspension, electrical, and drivetrain systems.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards and company quality guidelines.
- Inspection and Troubleshooting:
- Inspect incoming vehicles to determine service needs and report findings to the Service Advisor or Supervisor.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Provide recommendations for repair solutions based on inspection results.
- Workshop Support:
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the workshop area.
- Use tools and equipment properly and report any defects or safety concerns.
- Assist fellow technicians when necessary to complete tasks efficiently.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Accurately record all services performed, parts used, and labor hours.
- Follow standard procedures for job orders and service documentation.
- Communicate repair findings and progress to the Service Advisor or immediate supervisor.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and product knowledge.
- Stay updated on new service procedures, tools, and Hino product updates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of any technical course.
- With at least 1 year of experience as a truck mechanic/technician.
- Able to perform basic preventive maintenance, mechanical repairs, and electrical repairs.
- Driving skills and NCII Automotive Servicing certification are an advantage.
- Knowledgeable in using automotive tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced workshop environment.
