Job Summary:
The Driver for Hino Butuan is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of vehicles, parts, and personnel as required by company operations. This position plays a critical role in supporting the logistical and service functions of the dealership. The ideal candidate must have experience in operation trucks, possess a valid driver’s license with the appropriate restriction code, and demonstrate strong awareness of road safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Transport:
- Safely drive and deliver Hino trucks and other vehicles to and from customer locations, service centers, and other destinations.
- Transport parts, supplies, and company personnel as assigned.
- Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections:
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately to the service team.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving polices.
- Maintain a clean driving record and avoid traffic violations.
- Ensure all necessary documents (licenses, deliver receipts, etc.) are complete and updated.
- Customer Interaction:
- Represent Hino Butuan professionally during pickups and deliveries.
- Provide courteous assistance to customers during vehicle handovers or deliveries.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned vehicles.
- Coordinate with the service department for scheduled maintenance and repairs.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Accurately complete delivery logs, trip sheets, and other required documentation.
- Submit reports on mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during trips.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a valid driver’s license with Restriction Code 8.
- Good vision and hearing is required for safety and compliance.
- Clean driving record with no recent traffic violations.
- Truck driving experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance is a plus.
- Physically fit and capable of handling long-distance or extended driving hours when necessary.
